Why do People Workout
When it comes to doing exercise, there are really 2 main reasons that people do it for:
To burn calories (aka cardio) - My wife
To build muscle (strength training) - Myself
While you can burn calories during a workout, you also have to take into effect whether it compliments or takes away from your overall results. Focusing too much on #1 and not enough on #2, will only lead to burnout and not the definition you are looking for (soft look).
